Is your child a passionate maker, eager to use real tools, or intrigued by 3D printers and laser cutters? If so, then Mighty Makers is your destination these school holidays! Ages 3-6 years. PLEASE NOTE children must be accompanied by an adult, please only book a space for your child.

This is an open digital fabrication drop in session at the Parks Makerspace, with staff support to use tools available in the space (Laser cutters, 3D printers and Scan n Cut machine) and advice / support with software used to design and produce project outcomes on these tools.

This session is for patrons that have already completed the Laser Cutter and 3D Printer inductions.

Please Note: The Parks Makerspace can be used by ages 9 and upwards, all children between 9 - 16 must attend with a supervising adult. Use of the Parks Makerspace outside of public drop-in times (Sunday afternoon 1pm - 4pm) requires an access induction which can be booked through a Makers Advisory Session.

Maker Basics is a series of weekly workshops for anyone wanting a basic introduction to making things with metal at the Parks Makerspace—a new subject each week, including 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking and electronics. This session will introduce you to the Bambu Lab Carbon X1 with AMS and the Bambu Lab P1S 3D printers at the Parks Makerspace, we will go through the safety aspects of 3D printers for each machine as well as the relevant software for each machine and project creations.
