Parks Makerspace: Sewing Advisory
Do you like to sew?
Have you got a sewing project in mind but not sure how to make it a reality?
Perhaps you're stuck on a new sewing technique and need some guidance?
Maybe you attended one of our "Introduction to Sewing Machines" workshops and now you're ready to take on your own creative project?
Join our skilled volunteers Shannon & Samantha for creative advice on sewing, costume design and repairing or modifying clothes. Inspiration and practical guidance available for anyone who lives, works, volunteers or studies in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield area.
Important details - Please Read:
- Skill Levels: All skill levels are welcome welcome however you must know how to use a sewing machine independently to attend this session.
- Age Group: This is an adult session, strictly for those aged 16+. Childcare is not provided.
- Bookings: A limited number of Library sewing machines are available - if you will need to use a Library sewing machine, you must book into the session. You are welcome to BYO sewing machine
If you do not require a Library sewing machine, you do not need to register to attend.
Parks Makerspace: Digital Fabrication - Drop in Sessions
This session is for patrons that have already completed the Laser Cutter and 3D Printer inductions.
Please Note: The Parks Makerspace can be used by ages 9 and upwards, all children between 9 - 16 must attend with a supervising adult. Use of the Parks Makerspace outside of public drop-in times (Sunday afternoon 1pm - 4pm) requires an access induction which can be booked through a Makers Advisory Session.
Paint & Chat watercolour group - Parks Library
Please Note: Due to the popularity of this program, bookings will be required from Friday May 3rd.
Come and explore the wonderful world of watercolour! Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never picked up a paint brush - all skill levels are welcome. Come along and learn from our experienced volunteer Lydia while enjoying a friendly chat.

Repair Café - Parks Library Makerspace
The Repair Café is a free community event where you can get something repaired or even learn to repair and mend broken or damaged items. Save money by reusing or repurposing. Reduce your waste and maybe even gain a skill!
