Have you got a sewing project in mind but not sure how to make it a reality?

Perhaps you're stuck on a new sewing technique and need some guidance?

Maybe you attended one of our "Introduction to Sewing Machines" workshops and now you're ready to take on your own creative project?

Join our skilled volunteers Shannon & Samantha for creative advice on sewing, costume design and repairing or modifying clothes. Inspiration and practical guidance available for anyone who lives, works, volunteers or studies in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield area.

Important details - Please Read:

  • Skill Levels: All skill levels are welcome welcome however you must know how to use a sewing machine independently to attend this session.
  • Age Group: This is an adult session, strictly for those aged 16+. Childcare is not provided.

Parks Makerspace: Digital Fabrication - Drop in Sessions

This is an open digital fabrication drop in session at the Parks Makerspace, with staff support to use tools available in the space (Laser cutters, 3D printers and Scan n Cut machine) and advice / support with software used to design and produce project outcomes on these tools.

This session is for patrons that have already completed the Laser Cutter and 3D Printer inductions.

Please Note: The Parks Makerspace can be used by ages 9 and upwards, all children between 9 - 16 must attend with a supervising adult. Use of the Parks Makerspace outside of public drop-in times (Sunday afternoon 1pm - 4pm) requires an access induction which can be booked through a Makers Advisory Session.

This session will introduce you to the xTool P2 (55-Watt CO2 Laser Cutter) and the Emblaser 2 (10-Watt Laser Cutter) at the Parks Makerspace, we will go through the safety aspects of laser cutting for each machine as well as the relevant software for each machine and project creations.
