STEM Squad is a weekly after-school program for children 9 years and older with a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Children are encouraged to have fun exploring their interests through design, experimentation and the construction of a project using real-world tools and materials. There are limited numbers at each site so if you miss out this semester, don't worry, with two semesters each year, it's never too late to join the squad waiting list! Join our one of our Library STEM specialists at the Enfield Library for a hands on Science Fair session in April, this activity will provide plenty of opportunities for genuine scientific inquiry and hands on learning. Children will get to participate in hands on experiments and concepts that cover physical forces, behavior of matter, the biological world, mathematical concepts an how we experience the world.
This session is targeted at ages 3 to 6 years old. Parents will be asked to participate to support their children's learning experience.
Our session facilitator will also perform fun science demonstrations during the session!
